42-year-old former world champion Demarcus “Chop-Chop” Corley (48-27-1, 28 KOs) scored a twelve round majority decision over 25-year-old Dexter Gonzales (8-2-2, 5 KOs) on Saturday night at Giftland Office Max, Lilliendaal, Guyana. Corley recovered from a third round knockdown to win by scores 113-113, 115-110, 113-112 to claim the vacant WBC FECARBOX lightweight title.
