Cubans, Uzbeks racking up Olympic boxing medals

The last batch of medalists will be sorted out today in the flyweight division. While all the final positions are yet to be completely determined, we do already know which countries will be securing 36 of the 40 boxing medals available in the men’s division. Cuba and Uzbekistan have been the class of the tournament and both have a chance today to secure medals in seven of the ten divisions.

The final four who will collect medals in the flyweight division will be the winners of the matches below:

Elvin Mamishzada (Azerbaijan) vs. Shakhobidin Zoirov (Uzbekistan)
Yoel Finol (Venezuela) vs. Mohamed Flissi (Algeria)
Misha Aloian (Russia) vs. Ceiber David Avila (Colombia)
