Former WBA 175 pound champion Danny “Green Machine” Green (35-5, 28 KOs) will clash with former WBA 168 pound champion Anthony ” The Man” Mundine (47-7, 27 KOs) over ten at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, South Australia on February 3.
Mundine defeated Green over twelve rounds in 2006 in a contest that attracted a live gate in Sydney of 30,000.
Anthony Mundine: “I’m looking forward to the challenge on February 3. My mind is ready and my body is ready to put on a great performance.”
Danny Green: ” I lost the fight to Mundine ten years ago but I’m now a much better fighter. I think Choc is overlooked and way past his best. I have a lot more in the tank than he has. Let’s find out on February 3rd at Adelaide Oval…I’m not far off the weight limit (183 pounds). I have been going without beer!”
Green is coming off a ten round decision victory over Kane Watts in February and Mundine is coming off an eleven round stoppage loss to Charles Hatley in 2015.
