As expected, Filipino ring legend Manny Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KOs) will return on November 5 against WBO welterweight champion Jesse Vargas (27-1, 10 KOs). According to the Los Angeles Times, the bout could land in either Las Vegas or Dubai.
“Retirement doesn’t suit Manny right now,” Pacman’s manager Michael Koncz told the Times.
Vargas won out over WBO jr welterweight champion Terence Crawford and four-division former world champion Adrien Broner. Koncz stated that he doesn’t believe Crawford’s style suits Manny and that Pacquiao did originally want to face Broner, but Broner “outpriced himself.”
