Former IBF flyweight world champion Amnat Ruenroeng, 17-1, 5 KOs as a pro and rated #6 by the WBO at flyweight, outscored Argentinian amateur Ignacio Perrin 3-0 in a lightweight preliminary matchup at the Rio Olympic Games.

Also during the Sunday afternoon session, Irish lightweight David Oliver Joyce defeated Andrique Allisop of Seychelles 3-0.
