Fairfield welterweight Alan Sanchez (18-3-1, 9 KOs), after a stretch of road fights, will make his next appearance of front of friendly neighborhood fans Friday night when he faces veteran Miguel Angel Huerto (28-14, 18 KOs) of Santa Ana in a 10-round main event at the Woodland Community Center.

The Northern California venue’s last card was in 2012 by the same promoters, Don Chargin and Paco Damian, who have hosted several shows at nearby Cache Creek Casino Resort.

Sanchez’s last fight was 13 months ago in Las Vegas where he won the WBC Continental Americas belt by split decision over Pablo Cesar Cano (30-6-1) of Mexico. Huerto was idle last year but fought three times for North America Federation titles.

Paired in the semi-main are light heavyweights Ryan Bourland (12-1) of nearby Vacaville and Cesar Ruiz (5-4) of Phoenix. The preliminaries, beginning at 7 p.m., include other area fighters led by Sacramento featherweight Alberto Torres (9-0-2).
