Heavy-handed super lightweights Pablo “El Demoledor” Cesar Cano (30-5-1, 21 KOs) and Fidel “The Atrisco Kid” Maldonado Jr. (23-3-1, 19 KOs) clash tonight for the vacant WBC Fecarbox super lightweight title on ESPN2 in the Tostitos Championship Plaza at The Star in Frisco, Texas. We caught up with Cano earlier this week.

On preparation for the fight
I have been training hard for two months and ready to fight.

Fighting at Dallas Cowboys HQ in Frisco, TX
I am very happy and appreciative of the opportunity to fight here and I know that they are very famous [Dallas Cowboys].

On Maldonado
He’s a southpaw, hits very hard. I’m ready to fight.

Final thoughts on the fight
I am focused and ready to take care of business and I’m excited to fight on TV for the 1st time.
