Former British amateur star Charlie Hoy (12-0, 7 KOs) is stepping into the ring on Friday in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He will be facing fellow prospect Rafael Rodriguez (11-0, 7 KOs) for the WBC Latino super flyweight Championship. Hoy, 26, based in Miami, won the WBA Fedecentro title last March in the Dominican Republic and is now looking to conquer his second regional title, a hope which local boy Rodriguez is aiming to derail. The battle between the two unbeaten young men is promoted by Domini Boxing (Jose Rafael Lantigua) and will be held at the Villa Consuelo Cultural Club, Santo Domingo.
