Chris Eubank Jr. on point, Arthur Abraham struggles at weigh-ins

By Patrick L. Stumberg

Abraham made weight after two hours.

Tomorrow’s showdown between IBO super middleweight champ Chris Eubank Jr. and challenger Arthur Abraham was briefly in jeopardy today as “King Arthur” initially missed weight by almost two pounds. Abraham (46-5, 30 KO) initially hit the scales one pound, fifteen ounces above the division limit of 168, while Eubank Jr. (24-1, 19 KO) made it with three-quarters of a pound to spare.

The fight was in danger of becoming a non-title bout, but the 37-year-old Abraham, managed to shed the weight two hours later. All other fighters, including IBF featherweight champ Lee Selby and challenger Jonathan Victor Barros, made weight without issue.

The card will be on ITV pay-per-view tomorrow afternoon for £16.95; if you’d rather not pay, we here at Bad Left Hook will have LIVE round-by-round coverage. On the other hand, if you’d like to pay for it with gambling, you can currently get Eubank as low as -550 or Abraham as high as +530.
