Washington, DC’s Tyrieshia “Lady Tiga” Douglas will defend the Universal Boxing Federation Female Super Flyweight championship against undefeated Ebony Rivera of Fayetteville, NC in a 10-round bout tonight at the Coppermine Du Burns Arena in Baltimore, MD.

Douglas, the older sister of middleweight contender Antoine Douglas (11-1, four KO’s), is a two-time, two-division UBF champion who steps into the ring for the first time since May of 2016 when she won an eight-round unanimous decision over Anahi Torres at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, MD.

Rivera, a native of Lancaster, PA (7-0, three KO’s) competes for the first time in a title bout. Rivera last fought in April of 2016 and won a six-round unanimous decision over Nancy Franco in Fayetteville.

In other bouts on the card, Baltimore light heavyweight Travis “Seveer” Reeves will be in an eight-round contest against Josue “Chiquilín” Obando of Guadalajara, Mexico. Reeves (14-2-2, seven KO’s) last fought on April 14th and won an eight-round unanimous decision over Taneal Goyco in Oxon Hill, MD. Obando (14-15-1, 11 KO’s) will be trying to break an eight-bout losing streak. Obando has fought quality people in his career, including Matt Korobov, Junior Castillo and the Beltway’s own D’Mitrius Ballard, who won a six-round unanimous decision over Obando in Philadelphia, PA in June of 2015.

Baltimore super middleweight Devin “Bite” Butcher will take on undefeated Aidos Yerbossynuly of Almaty, Kazakhstan in a six-round bout. Butcher (6-1, three KO’s) bounced back from suffering his first loss by winning a four-round unanimous decision over Eric Govan on November 12th at Du Burns. Yerbossynuly (5-0, five KO’s) made his American debut in his last outing with a second-round TKO over Riarus Dudley on March 23rd in Randolph, NJ.

Another Baltimore super middleweight, Stephon “The Surgeon” Morris will battle Shane Pearson of Statesville, NC in a four-round encounter. Morris (4-0, three KO’s) last fought on November 12th at Du Burns and won a four-round majority decision over Gregory Clark. Pearson (1-1, one KO) returns to action for the first time since September of 2012.

Undefeated Baltimore super featherweight Mack “Papi” Allison IV returns to action in a four-round bout against Matt Murphy of St. Louis, MO. Allison, the 2016 Beltway Boxing Rookie of the Year (7-0, seven KO’s), last fought on December 10th and scored a third-round TKO over Rodger Williams in Springfield, VA. Murphy (2-13-1, two KO’s) will be trying to break a five-bout losing streak. Murphy has been very busy in 2017 — this will be his eighth bout this year.

In a heavyweight bout scheduled for six rounds, Jerry “Slug” Forrest of Norfolk, VA will take on veteran Grover Young of Memphis, TN. Forrest (15-2, 13 KO’s) has won eight straight since suffering back-to-back losses. The last two wins for Forrest came against Willis Lockett in August of 2016 and May of 2017, when he knocked out Lockett in the second round in Norfolk. Young (12-23-3, eight KO’s) is winless in his last 10 bouts, including a six-round unanimous decision loss to Mike Balogun on April 29th in Springfield, VA.
