CANASTOTA, N.Y. — One by one, convertibles rolled up North Peterboro St. and hung a left onto Wilson.
Men that will surely join the ranks of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, like James Toney. Active fighters still trying to build worthy resumes, like Daniel Jacobs and Deontay Wilder.
And boxers that are all but certain to never be inducted, like Fernando Vargas and Andrew Golota.
They waved to lines of fans on the sidewalk on a hot and humid Sunday afternoon moments before Evander Holyfield, Marco Antonio Barrera and Johnny Tapia were inducted as the Class of 2017.
