Ivan Baranchyk takes on Keenan Smith in tonight’s ShoBox main event.
Tonight at 10 pm ET on Showtime, unbeaten junior welterweights Ivan Baranchyk and Keenan Smith will square off in the main event of ShoBox: The New Generation, live from Miami, Oklahoma.
Baranchyk (14-0, 10 KO) is a top prospect, but Smith (11-0, 5 KO) is looking to put himself on the map with this one. A win for him would be an upset, but we’ve seen plenty of those on ShoBox over the years.
Also on the card, Kenneth Sims Jr (12-0, 4 KO) will face Rolando Chinea (14-1-1, 6 KO) in an eight-round junior welterweight bout, and we’ll see the returns of both Glenn Dezurn (9-0, 6 KO) and Leroy Davila (5-1, 3 KO), who you may recall from the April 14 edition of the series, going the distance in a tough fight.
Dezurn will face Adam Lopez (16-1-1, 8 KO), a ShoBox veteran who has headlined on the series but is 1-1-1 in his last three, and is coming off of a loss. The super bantamweights are set for eight rounds. This is an important fight for both, obviously. Davila will face Joshua Greer (13-1-1, 5 KO) in a bantamweight fight, also set for eight rounds.
