Dmitry Bivol (10-0, 8 KO) is a quiet, humble 26-year-old who understands that becoming a light heavyweight champion is a process. That experience matters. Being WBA Interim champion is an honor, but Bivol is still focused on his future and expanding his skills. On Saturday in Las Vegas he takes on veteran Cedric Agnew (29-2, 15 KO).
“Cedric Agnew is the opponent with the biggest name in my career so far,” said Bivol. “He is an experienced fighter and is well-skilled defensively. The Kovalev-Ward rematch is the most important fight in the light heavyweight division right now and I’m honored to be part of such an event. I’m very motivated and excited about this fight and I’m anxious to showcase my skills in the mecca of boxing Las Vegas live on one of the top boxing networks of HBO Pay-Per-View,” stated Bivol who as always works with his friend, heavyweight Sergey Kuzmin (10-0, 7 KO).
