A middleweight clash between Vitor Miranda and Marcin Vettori was booked for UFC Fight Night 112 in Oklahoma City on June 25. Both fighters revealed the bout on social media following a report by Combate.

Ilima-Lei Macfarlane to meet Jessica Middleton in Bellator 178 co-main event

By Marc Raimondi

Bellator 178 is coming together with under a month until the card goes off.

Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Jessica Middleton will meet in a battle of flyweight prospects in the co-main event of Bellator 178 on April 21 at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, Bellator announced Monday. The news was first reported by KHON in Honolulu.

Macfarlane (5-0), a Hawaii native, has an unblemished record inside the Bellator cage. The San Diego resident most recently defeated Emily Ducote by unanimous decision in December. Macfarlane, 26, is perhaps best known for her viral knockout of Katie Castro from 2015 under the Xplode Fight Series banner.

Middleton (2-0) also has not lost in Bellator, with her most recent victory coming against Alice Yauger by unanimous decision in January. The Kansas native is nicknamed “Million Hits” for a viral video spinning back fist knockout from her amateur days. Middleton, 28, has also beaten Bellator prospect Bruna Ellen, in her pro debut last July.

Bellator 178 is headlined by a featherweight title fight between champion Daniel Straus and former champ Patricio Freire. No other bouts have been announced for the card.
